The Company

The company was originally established in 1979 as an agricultural contracting business. The first crop sprayer - the AGRIbuggy was developed for the company’s own use and went into general production in 1981. It soon became established as one of the country’s leading lightweight crop sprayers. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of self-propelled sprayers and market leader in the more specialised field of Low Ground Pressure Vehicles. Over 700 machines have been manufactured to date. Machines are sold through a dealer network covering all the main arable areas in the UK with some areas being covered direct from the factory. The company also has distributors and agents in Ireland, France , Germany and Jersey and has contacts in Malaysia and New Zealand

As of June 1998 our direct sales areas have been extended and we now cover from the factory from Northumberland and Durham down through Yorkshire to Nottinghamshire Derby and Leicestershire.

Fraziers became involved with airport sprayers in 1991 with the development of a small self-propelled sprayer based on the Agribuggy. Two years later a six wheel version was developed with an increased carrying capacity and the latest development has been the 'Hercules' high capacity trailed sprayer built on an articulated lorry.

In 1998 the company took on the final development work of the RTT series 5 all-terrain vehicle with an agreement with RTT design to build the vehicle under license when completed. By mid 1999 the development work was complete with only final testing and type approval left to be carried out. Production is scheduled for late 1999.

The year 2000 sees the introduction of the RPV (Rural Pursuit Vehicle) - a new all terrain vehcle designed specifically for the the disabled. The original concept, design and development was carried out by Staffordshire farming brothers David and Stan Prince and it is now being manufactured under licencse by Frazier.

Factory location map

T.J. Frazier Ltd., now has a new factory unit in Yorkshire with some 12,000 sq.ft. of space and 25 employees. The majority of the fabrication work is carried out in-house with major componentry being bought in from manufacturers such as Ford Motor Co. and LandRover.

The company still runs a contract spraying business, spraying over 20,000 acres of crops each year for local farmers in East Yorkshire. Four of our own machines are used by this division of the company all of which are prototypes under evaluation or long term testing. This is a very valuable and important testbed for the company to ensure thorough testing of new products before they are released into the market place.

A service department also plays an important part with skilled service engineers available to service, repair and re-furbish machines both in the factory and out on the farm. And finally the factory has a trade counter for the collection of spare parts and a mail order service for the immediate despatch of spares direct to the customer.
